Hey. I'm going to go out on a quest for a while. I'm not sure how long it will be, so I wanted to give a heads up. Mikasa's staying behind so I'll update her on how things are going.

[ As soon as he's sure he cut the video to Hange, Reiner immediately turns his attention to Gabi. The concern he'd managed to keep off his face during the call slams in full force; he rises and reaches out, aiming to give her shoulder a squeeze. ]

Are you okay?

[ No apologies (yet), just concern for his cousin. ]

[ So, Levi doesn't text, not normally. He'll usually show up in person, or send Eren with a written note. In this case, though, both options aren't particularly plausible; for one, Reiner could be home, and two, he imagines Gabi would still rather not see Eren's face any more than necessary. ]

[ But this is important, because it's now twice that he's run into Reiner and apparently both times were a hair's width away from tragedy. It's unsustainable. ]

[ So, there he goes, using his sparse skills to type up the words torturously slowly with his single index finger. ]

[ Did Gabi move yet? No matter, Levi knows her address anyway -- and sure enough, one day, he just randomly shows up at her door, cane in one hand and a small brown paper package in the other. ]

[ As soon as she opens, he's shoving the package at her with no preamble, because of course. ]

[ He... may have gotten her another one of the Safety Pins! It's not like he chats with Reiner about things or anything. ]

Hey, Gabi. I hope today's tests are going well. I've got good news: Porco Galliard just arrived. He's from the future, like you. I'm helping him settle in.

[ Gabi should be expecting a gift from Marco via Reiner the week of 12/24!

The present, a leather woven bracelet like the one he talked to Reiner about; it has red-brown beads woven through it. There's also cranberry sugar cookies for Gabi to partake of! ]

On 12/24, a delivery is made by a Fairy service.

There's a rather long package. Inside is a sword in a sheath. It's a sword made by Jean, just for Gabi. There's a note that says that Reiner helped with the design and could probably teach her how to use it, too.

The card simply says: "Happy Holidays from Jean"


OOC note: You can pick the design for the sword yourself; it's definitely customized in a way that reminds of Gabi, as it was designed by both Reiner and Jean together.

[ On the Solstice, Reiner leaves a package outside Gabi's bedroom door. It contains a leather-bound journal with crisp, cream-colored pages enchanted to never smudge. It is paired with a pen enchanted to never leave the writer's hand tired.

A note is tucked inside the journal, written in Reiner's neat (Marleyan) script: ]

[ After Armin's visit revealed Bertholdt's fate (and several text messages confirmed it), Reiner writes a note for Gabi. Maybe he should wait to see her in person instead, or at least explain what happened. But honestly, he doesn't know if he could bear it right now. ]
